Jesse M McCoy was my great-grandfather and, according to my grandmother, a wonderful, caring husband and father. He was 20 when the Civil war broke out, but I never heard how it changed his life. With this generation, I can post some pictures. None of these people became famous, but they lived honorable lives of hard work and family loyalty. I have included all the newspaper articles that he was mentioned in, and his obituary which gives tribute to his style of life.
